The car will sport three engine options in the Indian market:
- 1.5-litre CRDI diesel with 6 speed gear box shall generate a max power output of 100bhp & 244Nm of torque, this is an upgrade from its previous 1.4-litre U2 CRDI diesel engine.
- 1.0-litre, 3 cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which is a new option; the motor can produce 99bhp of power & deliver 118 Nm of torque & finally
- A 1.2-liter, 4 cylinder petrol engine which is the most economical option which can clock 83bhp & 113Nm torque.
Design:
The design identity of the 2020 Hyundai i20 is called sensuous sportiness which indeed is very sporty with its dual tone body. While the front and sides of the car is more dynamic and edgy the rear looks wider-thanks to the combination tail lights running across the breadth of the hatch. The front of the car looks very sharp & focused with those wide LED DRLs & at the back the angular Z shaped LED tail lights looks rather stunning, the car comes with alloy wheels which is again very prominent & leaves a strong impression on the passersby.
The interior of the car compliments the overall outside makeover of the car and continues to speak the same sporty design language. The expected base variant will cost around Rs. 5.5 Lakhs & will go up to Rs. 8.5 lakhs for the top end diesel variant (ex- showroom) & the on-road price will vary from state to state in India.
